How can I book a flight?
You can book a low-cost flight online, by calling our Call Center, through your travel agent or in the airline's ticket office.
On the web site you can easily check availability and fares, by selecting your desired route and dates of travel, and buy your ticket online, through credit card payment.
Volareweb Call Center is open from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.

Is there a time limit for flight purchase?
Flights can be purchased online or through your travel agent up to 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to departure, via Call Center or in the ticket offices, up to 1 hour before the departure.

How can I pay for my ticket?
If you book online or through our Call Center, you can pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, AirPlus).
Our system accepts Electron credit cards, but you need to check if the contract with your bank allows the online usage.
At our ticket offices it is possible to pay cash, Bancomat or using the above mentionned Credit Cards.
If you book through your travel agent, you should ask information about the accepted payment options.
In any case, there will be an additional administration fee of 7,50 Euros per persone.

Why do I need to pay immediately at the time of booking?
Your booking is confirmed only if payment has been made. In order to be able to always offer the lowest prices, we need to make sure that our flights are as full as possible. That's why our system, unlike the systems used by traditional airlines, does not let us hold 'reserved-only' seats, and you need to book and pay for your ticket at the same time.

Are my credit card details safe?
To ensure the security of your credit card information when you book online, Volareweb use the latest Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is currently the preferred method to securely transfer credit card and other sensitive data over the Internet. If your browser supports SSL, please select the Secure Mode option when making payment and all your details will be protected by this technology. If you are restricted by the capabilities of your browser then you can use the non-secure mode, but we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of the browser to allow you peace of mind during any further transactions.

Is my browser compatible with your booking system?
Volareweb uses scripts that can be best visualized through browsers Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4 and above. If your browser has some restrictions, you can select the non-secure mode; anyway, in order to protect your personal information, we suggest you utilize the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. Versions lower than 3 are not supported anymore.
The online purchase procedure requests that, in your Internet surfing program, Cookies and JavaScript running must be active.
Volareweb gives you some advice to avoid problems with online access:
Use of browsers Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, or Netscape Navigator 7.0 with security levels set to standard mode;
Frame management on;
Configuration of code level 128 bits;
In case the navigation should be hindered, deactivate protection programs like 'Norton Internet Security Professional 2002' or 'Personal Firewall' (the integrated firewall of Windows XP does not create any problem);
If the browser poses some restrictions when ending the transaction, it is possible to select the non-secure mode; anyway, in order to protect your personal information, we suggest you use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.

How can I get confirmation of my flight booking and payment?
If you book online or over the phone through our Call Center, you will be sent an email to the email address you supplied, confirming your flight details and your booking reference.
If you purchase your tickets through a travel agent or the ticket office they will give you your booking reference. At a cost of only 0,9 Euro you will also receive confirmation of your purchase directly to your mobile phone.

Volareweb is a ticketless airline, what does it mean?
There are no traditional tickets. All you need to do after buying your ticket is go to the check-in counter with your confirmation mail, your booking reference and a valid passport, and you will be given your boarding card.

How can I get a fiscal document for the purchased ticket?
The booking confirmation that can be printed out when carrying out a booking, is evidence of the the contract of carriage and is a fiscally valid document. Therefore, it is a necessary fiscal support for end customers (both private and corporate passengers).
The customer can request an invoice WITHIN 24 HOURS FROM THE BOOKING by sending the itinerary confirmation to fatture@volareweb.com and providing all the necessary personal details to issue and send the invoice:
-first name and surname or company name (for corporate passengers)
-address or residence
-fiscal code (mandatory)
-VAT code if exist
-alternative address for the invoice if different from residence.
Passengers should be careful in indicatign these elements, for it will not be possible to issue twice an invoice due to passenger's wrong data transmission.

When and how do I check in?
Check-in opens two hours before departure. Early check-in is strongly recommended. At all airports check-in closes 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Volareweb.com reserves the right to cancel your reservation and to deny you boarding if you do not comply with this check-in deadline. You must produce a valid passport and your booking reference at check-in. Expired documents will not be accepted. You won't be allowed to board the aircraft if the passenger's name on the booking does not match the name on your passport, and your ticket will not be refunded.

Which documents are accepted by Volareweb for boarding?
Passengers must arrive at the check-in for all flights, including national flights, with a valid identity document provided with a photograph. The only documents that can be accepted on national flights include: Valid passport or identity card (with a photograph). No self-declaration is admitted to confirm ones identity. National identity cards are accepted only if issued by a country making part of the Schengen agreement, like for example Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Iceland, the Netherlands, Greece, Austria, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Children aged less than 15 years must produce a birth certificate with photo, issued by the
city council (valid document for the expatriation if the certificate is compilated and validated by the police headquarters). If the child travel without parents/legal guardians, a written authorisation is to be released by parents to adults travelling with said child. The check-in will be refused if the passenger's name on the reservation does not match the name on the identity document and the passenger will not be entitled to any refund.

What do the taxes, fees and charges in my reservation include?
All the taxes imposed by the Government and other Authorities, especially by airport authorities, regarding passengers and their baggage, or any passenger services will be added to the fare and must be paid for by the passenger.
In addition to these airport taxes, that vary according to the airport of departure, and administrative charges of Eur 7,5 per person, flights to/from Milan Malpensa will be subject to a service and operational surcharge of 14 Euro per leg. All flight payments are displayed in EURO.

The fare I was interested in when I visited the site is no longer shown in the booking system. Is it possible? Why?
The applicable tariffs are the fares available at the time you visit the website or contact the Call Center. They can vary depending on the number of seats available and on the demand.

Is it possible to cancel a booking and get a refund?
On a WEB FARE, cancellations are not permitted. Should the passenger decide not to take the booked flight, the ticket will not be refunded. Unused tickets are not refunded.
The right of withdrawal, foreseen about long-distance contracts, does not apply to this sale according to point b) of art. 7 of the legislative directive D.L. May 22, 1999 nr.185.

Is it possible to change the booking?
If you have booked a WEB FARE fare date and time of your booking may be changed up to 3 hours prior to scheduled departure. Online time and date changes are subject to a 25 Euro change fee per passenger and per flight segment; if they are made via the Call Centre the fee is 30 Euro. Date and time changes are permitted up to 1 hour prior to scheduled departure if processed at Volareweb Ticket Desks and upon payment of a 30 Euro change fee per passenger and per flight segment (options subject to Call Centre and Ticket Desks opening hours). In all cases, if the new flight time or date demands a higher basic fare you will be charged the difference. No refunds will be granted should the new fare be lower.
Passenger names may be changed by contacting our Call Center or at Volareweb Ticket Desks (subject to Call Center and Ticket Desks opening hours) up to 3 hours prior to scheduled departure upon payment of a 30 Euro change fee per passenger and per flight segment plus any difference between the original fare paid and the lowest available fare at the time the change is made. No refunds will be granted should the available fare be lower.Name changes are not permitted if any flight segment in your booking has been used. Similarly name changes are not permitted if your booking contains any unused flight segment or if the flight is fully booked at the time the name change is requested. Multi-segment bookings must display the same passenger's name.

How much is an infant ticket?
Infants, who are under two years of age on the date of travel and, in case of a round trip, on the date of the return flight, will not be assigned a seat and must travel sitting on an adult's lap. The applicable fare is 14 EURO per leg.

Do you accept unaccompanied minors?
Passengers under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years of age while travelling. Unaccompanied passengers under 15 years of age will not be accepted on board of Volareweb

How can I request assistance for passengers with special needs at the time of booking?
If you need any kind of assistance and for information about the travel policies regarding disabled passengers and pregnant women, it is necessary to contact Volareweb Call Center. Passangers with arms or/and legs plaster or with special supports, have to show a medical certificate indicating pathology and attitude to fly.
Policies and procedures are subject to changes without prior notice.
To carry and transport sport equipment and animals the passenger shall contact our Call Center, make online reservation or directly reserve them at the airport. Each passenger is allowed to book a maximum quantity of three services (if a passenger is travelling with an infant, this will be considered as a Special service).

For which passengers a medical clearance is required?
For these passengers whose particular state of physical and mental health is such to require special assistance aboard the aircraft and upon boarding and disembarking, a medical clearance is required:
Passengers whose conduct, mental status or physical condition may render them incapable of caring for themselves without assistance or who might be a risk to themselves, to other persons or to the safety of the flight;
Passengers that suffer from a disease which is believed to be contagious and could be passed on to the other passengers on board (except typical children?s diseases);
Passengers needing extra oxygen (OXYG) for medical use: small gaseous oxygen or air cylinders are allowed. Oxygen refrigerated liquid is forbidden;
Passengers needing medical attention or other medical equipment on board, with the exception of the above point (OXYG). Case by case will be evaluated by the Flight Operations Post-Holder.
Expectant mother not in normal health or beyond the 23th week of pregnancy;
Babies under the age of 7 days and prematures.
Persons with arms and/or legs in casts or splints.

What are Volareweb.com pregnancy regulations?
For security and comfort of pregnant women travelling with us, the carrier will follow these rules:
- Within the 23rd week of pregnancy: passenger must provide a medical certificate reporting her week of pregnancy or the date of her last menstruation or the expected date of birth;
- From the 23rd to the 35th week of pregnancy: passenger must provide a medical clearance/authorisation to fly;
- Beyond the 35th week of pregnancy: boarding is denied.
A medical written authorisation is always necessary for expectant mother not in normal health and for multiple expected birth.

Is there any restriction to the weight and number of baggage I can carry?
For each baggage carried in the aircraft hold an extra fee of 6 Euros will be required for on line reservation or through our Call Center and of 12 Euro for direct payment of the luggage to be carried onboard at the airport, excluded are all the commissions applied by ticket counters.
For all passengers, excepted infants, who are not entitled of a normal baggage allowance the weight limit of the checked luggage is fixed at 20 total kg for a maximum of 3 pieces.
Checked baggage in excess of 20 kg will be charged at the rate of 8 Euro per kg. If you book a special service, the allowance for the total pieces of baggage carried will increase from 20 to 32 kg. The maximum allowed weight for each luggage is 32 kg in total or the luggage will not be accepted, the total weight of checked luggage shall not exceed 50 kg in all.
Each passenger is allowed to carry one unchecked hand luggage not exceeding 8 kg in weight and 55x40x20 in size.
Moreover, the free transport of the following items is allowed: a handbag, a briefcase or a bag; an overcoat or a blanket; an umbrella or a walking stick; a camera or binoculars; reading equipments needed during the flight; infants food; a foldable wheel chair, crutches or eventual other aids provided that passenger results completely dependent on them.

What do I need to do if my baggage is lost and/or damaged?
In case of damaged baggage it is necessary to contact the Customer Care Volareweb the following documents within 7 days: the original of the document called P.I.R. collected at the lost & found office at the airport, the confirmation e-mail or ticket and a declaration of a leather goods shop of your choice is reparable or not, including an estimate of the cost, the bank details (account owner, current account number, SWIFT code, IBAN code). The refund will be done according to the valid laws of the air transport.
In case of loss of baggage, the passenger has to contact the Volareweb Customer Care by sending the following documents within 21 days (without delay): the original of the document called P.I.R. collected at the lost & found office at the airport, the confirmation e-mail and the original baggage labels, a list of the content, the bank details (account owner, current account number, SWIFT code, IBAN code). The detailed list of the content has to be transmitted at the Lost & Found office before the issue of the claim (P.I.R.). The refund will be done according to the valid laws of the air transport.

What is Volareweb.com policy for carriage of animals?
Animals that must be carried in the aircraft hold will not be accepted onboard. Upon on line or through Call Center payment of 25 Euro per route or of 35 Euro directly at the airport dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, canaries, guinea pigs and hamsters will be allowed to travel with you in the aircraft cabin (maximum one animal per passenger) up to a maximum weight of 10 kg, including their rigid containers. 2 exemplars maximum are admitted on each flight.
Dogs, cats and ferrets transport is governed by Regulation (CE) N° 998/03 with the certification provided for by Dec. 2004/203/CE (amended by Dec. 2004/301/CE). The passenger who is responsible for the transported animal shall be equipped with all the documents required by the destination authorities.
To make sure that the carrier will accept to transport animals, the passenger will carry his own rigid container that shall not exceed 115 cm in size (resulting from the sum of length+heigth+depth). Two animals are allowed for each container. The carrier reserves the right to deny animals transport in case the aforementioned requirements are not fulfilled.

What is Volareweb policy for carriage of bicycles, surfboards, snowboards and skis?
You'll be charged of an extra fee of 25 euros for sport equipment transport (golf bag, bicycles, windsurf boards, water or snow ski equipment, surfboards and kitesurf boards) per flight and item with online booking or through Call Center and of 35 euro for reservations directly made at the airport.
You'll be charged of an extra fee of 90 euro for scuba diving equipment transport reserved online, through our Call Center or directly at the airport.

What if a passenger intends to pay the extra fee for baggage to be carried in the aircraft hold after having already booked a ticket through the website?

Is it possible to carry firearms and ammunition?
The carriage of weapons and ammunition is regulated by specific provisions contained in Italian law no. 694 of 1974. Passengers departing from Italian territory with an Italian or foreign aircraft assigned to public transport service, taking sportive weapons or ammunition, even if in possession of a gun licence or export licence, are obliged to report them before check-in by the carrier and to report to the office of the airport Border Police. There, they will be provided with precise information on the regulations, and passengers will be required to place the weapon and its ammunition in a container measuring 30x22x8cm. At the end of the journey, to pick up the weapons or ammunition reported and handed in as detailed above, the parties authorised must make a request at the aforementioned police offices at the airport of arrival. The carriage of weapons et/or ammunition is subject to an additional charge of 60 Euro per route. The obligations set forth in this law do not apply to the officials and police officers detailed in the first and second paragraphs of article 73 of the public security regulation. The payment of the charge is not requested to them.

We do not offer connections and we will not be held responsible for missed connections. Even if you book onward flights, you must claim your baggage and check-in again for the continuing journey. Please allow at least 90 minutes between each flight.

What are the numbers to contact your Call Center and the relative costs?
The Call Center is open from 07.00 to 22.00 all days. It can be contacted on 899 656 545 (+39 091 255 1012 for calls from abroad) for general information, bookings or changes.
The cost of calls from fixed phones Telecom is 0,12 € release to the answer and 0,96 €/min (enclosed VAT). Charges for calls from mobile phones differ according to each operator's applicable fares.
For booking by Call Center and ticket office, a 5 Euro surcharge per flight segment per person will be added directly to the cost of the ticket.

How can I ask for a group fare quote?
If you wish to purchase fares without the need to give passengers names straight away a request should be sent via e-mail at group@volareweb.com or by fax at +390331713155 indicating dates, flights and number of spaces requested. You will then receive a net quote depending on the availability of the requested flights, which can be confirmed and therefore be able to pay through bank transfer, this way the passengers names won't have to be communicated a lot in advance. This tariff will be obviously higher than the special tariff but will let you wait, up until 3 days before flight, to communicate passenger's names.
