Airport of AlgheroAirport of Alghero
Alghero airport in Sardinia was founded as a military airport during the war. It is only since the 1980s that it has been used primarily for civilian purposes. Another turning point in its history was the birth of SO.GE.A.AL SpA (Alghero Airport Management Company) in 1994, jointly owned by the CCIAA (Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture) in Sassari and the local governments of Alghero and Sassari, and supported by the regional government of Sardinia who, together with the SFIRS (Industrial Financing Company for the Rebirth of Sardinia), forms part of the company's share capital.
Important restructuring and modernisation works will be completed on the Aerostation in 2008.View website
Airport of AthensAirport of Athens
"Eleftherios Venizelios" Athens International Airport is located 33 km to the southeast of Athens. The underground, the trains and six bus routes connect the airport to the centre of Athens. Line 3 of the underground runs every 30 minutes and the journey to connect the airport to the centre of Athens takes about half an hour. A rail line and a suburban rail service connect the airport to Athens. The suburban train runs every fifteen minutes and arrives at Athens central station, Larissis, in about 38 minutes. The normal rail line runs from the airport to the underground station of Monastiraki, from 6.30 onwards. Besides, there are other 6 bus routes linking the airport with the city and with the Pireus leaving from the area outside the Arrivals, between gates 4 and 5, 24 hours a day. Again, the airport can be reached by car from Athens in different ways. The six-lane Attiki Odos highway connects Athens' western entrance, Eleusina, with the airport through several exits corresponding to the main street of the city. View website
Airport of BrindisiAirport of Brindisi
The airport of Brindisi came into operation in the years before the Second World War with a runway built by the military authorities. The airport began commercial flights with the Ala Littoria airline, which flew between Brindisi and Rome. After several years of development and refurbishment, at present the airport serves the entire province of Brindisi, part of the province of Taranto, and the province of Lecce.View website
Airport of CagliariAirport of Cagliari
The Aeroporto di Cagliari Elmas, named after Mario Mameli, was opened on 3 May 1937 and sixty years later the first intermediate stop was inaugurated, launching Sardinia more than ever in its natural role as the centre of the Mediterranean. The airport is situated near the borough of Elmas, 6 Km from the city (close to the Santa Gilla pond, famous for its pink flamingos) and is the largest stopover on the Island in terms of both traffic and passenger movements handled.View website
Airport of HeraklionAirport of Heraklion
The Heraklion airport is situated at about 4 km to the East of the city centre. It is the second airport in Greece in terms of traffic since in summer Crete is the favourite destination of tourists. A regular bus service to the city centre is available. The easiest way to Chania or Rethymnon is KTEL line, with buses leaving every hour; it takes about 2 hours and a half to get there.View website
Airport of IbizaAirport of Ibiza
Sant Jordi International Airport is the main access route from the area outside Ibiza and Formentera. It is 7,5 km far from the centre, to the south-east of Ibiza, next to San José. The main access road is the PM-801 motorway (Ibiza-Airport). You can also use the PM-803 motorway (Ibiza-San José) and take the exit at kilometre-4. Local buses number 10 leave the airport for Ibiza and the towns around the island. They are all waiting outside the terminal building.View website

John Paul II International Airport is the principal airport in KraKow, about 15 km far from the city centre which can be reached by catching bus lines 192 or 208 leaving the square in front of the airport entrance. By bus, it takes 25 minutes to get to the city centre.View website
Airport of Lamezia TermeAirport of Lamezia Terme
Opened in 1976 in a strategic position near the A1 motorway, the rail network and the port of Gioiatauro, and enlarged in 1982, today the airport of Lamezia Terme has a traffic capacity of up to two million passengers. It is run by Sacal SpA, Società Aeroportuale Calabrese, a company that has been operating since 1991.View website
Airport of MalagaAirport of Malaga
The airport of Malaga is situated to the southwest of Málaga, just 8 km far from the city centre and 5 km to the north of Torremolinos; at present, it has two terminal buildings and the third one is being constructed, while its second runway will be available in 2010. The airport is managed by AENA. Several options are available to reach the city centre: buses run every half an hour from Terminal 1 and 2. The rail station Centro-Alameda is located besides the Cargo Terminal, in front of Terminal 2 and trains leave every half an hour. A public transport service to Marbella and Fuengirola is also available.View website
Airport of MaltaAirport of Malta
Malta International Airport, which has been open for commercial traffic for over 50 years, was completely re-constructed in 1992. It is connected to the centre through an efficient and economical public services network. The bus central station (line 8 for the terminal, with various stops) is in La Valletta, and direct connections are granted towards all principal resorts, beaches and towns, from Sliema to Bugibba, from Mosta to Rabat, from Cirkewwa to Marsaxlokk. A ferryboat service leaving from Cirkewwa is available to visit the islands of Gozo or Comino.View website

Airport of OlbiaAirport of Olbia
The new Olbia air terminal opened on 6th June 2004. It is 6 kilometres far from the city centre which can be easily reached by local BUS ASPO. Line number 2 leaves from Olbia downtown every 15' and it takes 15 minutes to get to the airport. In addition, tourists can also move by trains and buses to reach other major towns around the island.View website
Airport of Palma de MallorcaAirport of Palma de Mallorca
The airport of Palma de Mallorca-Son Sant Joan is located 11 km to the southeast of Palma de Mallorca. It has one terminal and four boarding gates: A, B, C and D.
The airport can be reached by driving along the motorway Palma-Santanyí and by bus. Bus n° 1 leaves the airport every 15-30 minutes (from 06:10 to 02:10). In Palma the bus leaves from Passeig de Mallorca to the airport every 15-30 minutes (from 5:40 to 01:30) and it takes 30 minutes to get to the airport. The bus stops in two points: at the Arrivals area, in front of the parking and at the check-in level, in front of the route giving access to the airport.View website

Airport of ValenciaAirport of Valencia
The airport of Valencia is situated in Manises, 8,5 km far from the city centre. It offers a public bus service, Airport Line Bus Station, departing every ten minutes for a 45 minutes drive from/to the city centre. The bus stop is just outside the Departures area. Moreover, two underground lines connect the airport to the city centre (line 3 and 5); the airport can be reached by car through the N-220, which is connected to A-3 and N-335.

Airport of WarsawAirport of Warsaw
The Frederic Chopin airport is 10 km to the southwest of the city centre. From the airport, the city centre can be reached by driving along the E7. Three bus lines grant a non-stop 24 hours-a-day service. MZA urban buses (line 175 and 188) offer a regular service between 04.44 and 23.10. At night the line 611 connecting the airport to the central train station of Warsaw is available. Buses coming from the city stop in correspondence of the Departures areas of Terminal 1 building, while the stop for departures is situated at the Arrivals area of Terminal 2 building and in front of Etiuda Terminal building. Tickets can be purchased at the newspaper's kiosks inside the airport or directly on the bus, by paying an extra fee.View website
Airport of WroclawAirport of Wroclaw
Founded as a military airport, it was soon transformed into a nerve centre for the transferral of passengers to Poland and to the main cities in Europe. In 2005 its name was changed to Nicolaus Copernicus and a new terminal extension was opened.
It presently transports 900,000 passengers per year and, in view of Euro 2012, there will be further infrastructural developments with the addition of an area of 1,900 m2.View website
